MEET OUR STAFF
Derek has been a long-time employee of Small Engine Specialist. Not only does he have a vast knowledge of small engine parts, but he also can bust out any song at any moment! Derek was born and raised in Texarkana, USA, and graduated from Texas High School in 2006. He has been in the small engine parts business for 17+ years. You can see him wildly supporting his four children in his spare time and cheering on our beloved Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns.
Our owner and operator, Kevin, is no stranger to Small Engine Specialist of Texarkana. Alongside his father, David, they purchased this business in 2006. Ten years later, with his wife, Michelle, the two purchased the business, and David retired from full-time work. Kevin volunteers with the teens and audio/video team at his church. He cherishes his wife, two kids, and two grandkids. You can often find him "pranking" Derek when he's not busy at the shop.
Michelle is our accountant, "hurricane organizer," and all things marketing. She joined the business in 2016 and is often found in the back office doing all the accounting, marketing, and putting out fires! Michelle serves in her church wherever there is a need and enjoys spoiling her kids and grandkids, and playing the piano. She can also be found smoking meats, making homemade bread, and feeding anyone that is hungry.
